NEW GUINEA FLY RIVER BARBED & PAINTED FIGHTING ARROWS

Origin: New Guinea, Papuan Gulf, Fly River

Materials: Bamboo, wood, Cassowary Bird claws, bone, earth pigments, lime, plant fiber

Description:  Group of 3 impressive man fighting arrows each with a custom metal base.  The points on the two left examples have Cassowary Bird claws paired with a pendant bone barb at the base!  The one on the right has a painted bone tip.  Each one has an individually paint decorated shaft.   These are among the most menacing and wicked arrows made in PNG-- meant to go in and not come out.  In good condition overall.
